Was charged $160 for a front end alignment. I paid upfront. After about 2 hours of waiting the guy comes in and says they have to remove a bolt that someone else had put in backwards and the only way to get the bolt out is to remove the strut which is only 5 bolts. He tells me this after his mechanic had already started taking the truck apart and quoted me an extra $240 dollars. I refused and told him to put it back together that I would bring it somewhere else as I had already been waiting 2 1/2 hours at this point. Guy got mad and threw the truck back together and refused to give me atleast some of my money back. I got about a block down the road and had to call a tow truck because I couldn’t even steer the truck anymore. Once I finally got it home and jacked it up I found they didn’t tighten the upper control arm bolts back nor was the strut bolts tightened. This is just another shade tree mechanic shop
You changed all your own parts. You put your truck together incorrectly. You put the adjustment bolts in the upper arm in backwards. We put the truck on the rack and began the alignment and could not get the passenger side in spec. We looked for bent or broken parts because that is typical. It took us a while to notice the bolts in backwards because we have never seen anyone do something so idiotic. I quoted you $214 to jack up the vehicle and remove the wheel, remove the strut, remove the upper control arm, and reinstall everything correctly. You declined the work so we stopped what we were doing and put it back together. You said you would fix it yourself, like you did the first time. Good luck. You then asked for your money back and I refused because my guys have been outside for 2 hours chasing problems that you created. No thanks.
